Introduction

The project

Monarch & Co. is a fictional luxury real-estate portfolio experience. The site presents a considered collection of homes with character, craftsmanship and a sense of place — and a more considered way to move.

Design intention

Why it exists

Exceptional homes, considered living. The site needed to look beyond asking prices — to the light, proportions, materials and small details that make a property extraordinary.

Visual direction

How it looks,
and why

Architectural photography with a deep green and stone palette, DM Serif Display headlines, and an editorial layout that treats each residence like a story rather than a listing.

Implemented features

What’s inside

Cinematic intro

A panel-based introduction with a skip control, setting the tone before the first listing appears.

The collection

Six residences across London, the country and Europe, with prices, beds, baths and square footage — filterable by region.

Signature residence

A closer look at Casa Serena — a sunlit retreat of limestone, shadow and water.

A considered way to move

A three-stage process — Discover, Curate, Navigate — that frames the search as a service, not a search box.

The journal

Essays on living well: considered architecture, finding a country home, natural light and honest materials.

Decisions

Design & development

Stack Vite + Lenis with a hand-rolled intro sequence and filterable collection — no framework overhead.
Imagery All photography downloaded from Unsplash/Pexels and stored locally with the licence recorded.
Fictional honesty The portfolio concept status is stated in the header and footer — the homes are illustrative, not for sale.
