Introduction
The project
Aurelia House is a fictional luxury Mediterranean boutique hotel — a portfolio demonstration of cinematic hospitality web design. Twelve rooms gathered around a still courtyard, built from limestone quarried a morning’s walk away.
Design intention
Why it exists
A place you don’t simply visit — a feeling you step into. The site needed to slow the reader down: architecture that breathes, rituals that structure the day, and a sense of place that feels invented but true.
Visual direction
How it looks,
and why
Mediterranean light and shadow — limestone, linen, unlacquered brass — photographed at dusk and set with Cormorant Garamond display type and a deep green palette drawn from the courtyard.

What’s inside
The house
A chaptered story of the architecture — thick walls that hold the cool of the night, deep arches that frame the sea.
Twelve rooms, no two alike
Three suite types presented with rates and details — the Courtyard Suite, the Olive Residence, the Horizon Suite.
The shape of a day
Rituals that structure a stay: the bathhouse, private dining, pool and outdoor living, coastal discoveries.
Sense of place
Cala Lume — an invented coast, mapped and described with the confidence of a real one.
Enquiry flow
A quiet reservation path that matches the tone of the house: unhurried, personal, considered.
